In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given in memory of Erika to the family that will be given to organizations/charities important to her and her family.

Erika Ann Olson, age 54, of Eau Claire, died unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, October 3, 2024.

Erika was born November 15, 1969 to Stuart and Jean (Brekke) Krause in Madison, Wisconsin. Following graduation from high school, she attended UW-EC before becoming a military wife. On August 28, 1990, she was united in marriage to Travis Olson in Wausau, Wisconsin. Their commitment to each other was renewed in 1992. Eau Claire eventually became their home where they raised their family. Erika graduated from cosmetology school and became a beloved stylist with many salons before joining Bravo where she has worked the last 15 years.

Being a mother was a gift she treasured and her three boys were her world. She was a culinary artist in the kitchen with skills earned as a line cook in her younger years. Erika could sing any genre of music with her amazing voice. She had the unique ability to make everyone feel welcome, loved, and important. Her kind spirit, warm smile that lit up a room, and her generous heart will be remembered by all those who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Travis; sons, James, Jakob, and Kamden; parents, Stuart and Jean; brother, Adam Krause; father and mother-in-law, Steve and Sharon Olson; sister-in-law, Kari Pierson; several nieces and nephews; many other relatives and dear friends.

Erika was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
